Have some breakfast and drive to Tawang. On the way, visit Bomdila Monastery. Also, revel at the sight of the snow-clad Sella Pass, which is located at an altitude of 14,000 ft. You can also see Jaswant Garh, a war memorial, dedicated to Jaswant Singh Rawat, who is known for fighting a battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. He was awarded Mahavir Chakra posthumously for his valour and it is believed that his spirit still protects the place. Enjoy an overnight stay in Tawang.
Dedicate this day to explore Tawang. See its beautiful landscapes that are inhabited by the Monpa tribes. It the birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama. Also, visit one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sects in Asia, the “Galden Namgyel Lhatse†Monastery. The Monastery is 400 year old and is adorned with a 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. Arunachal Pradesh at this altitude offers you unparalleled beauty of nature. In the evening you can enjoy shopping at the local markets. Enjoy an overnight stay in Tawang.
After breakfast, head to Bomdila and spend a comfortable night there.
